Big dude that able to do crazy shit” is an underrated genre of wrestling. We usually only see one or two people per decade in the states. And I’m very happy that Toon is the guy for this generation. Very new, but you can see the fluid motion and explosiveness he brings to a match. Especially during the four corner survival match at ETU/DG. Admittedly, I have not seen much of his New South matches. But, with the outside work I have seen of him, I do believe that he can be generational in the years to come. The only thing holding Zonik back from being considered one of the best high-flying luchadors in the world is the fact that he’s only getting started. When you’re THIS good before you even graduate high school, when you can lead more experienced luchadores through a match and make it look natural, when you invite completely valid comparisons to the rookie years of Rey Misterio Jr., it’s staggering to consider where this (literal) kid might go from here. – pto
